Show Synopsis

Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure. 

Registration, Audition Dates & Material

• Auditions are open to grades TK-6th
• Audition does not guarantee participation
• Auditions and callbacks will help the director determine final cast
• Registration costs are a donation to LEAP non-profit
• If you require any assistance with the registration cost, please contact Leal admin for assistance (limited need based scholarships available upon meeting criteria)
• Please register for 1 audition date per child auditioning
• Students auditioning must be accompanied by their parent or guardian until audition is complete
• Parent/Guardian may not accompany the student into the audition room (waiting space will be designated)
• Once audition is complete, the student may leave for the day.

Audition Process

• Register for ONE audition date per student.
• Arrive with your student 15 minutes before the audition time. (Adult parent, guardian, or after school director must accompany the student to audition)
• Bring your printed & fully filled & signed contract to audition.
• NO CONTRACT = NO AUDITION
• Prepare a slate with your name, grade, and what you’ll be singing.
• Sing a song chosen from the list provided by the director.
• Rehearse the audition dance and be prepared to dance the choreography provided by the director.
• Singing auditions will be 1:1 with Mr. Sales & a casting director
• Dance audition will be as a group
• Adult parent/guardian will remain with the student until their audition is complete
