The Leal Elementary Arts Program (LEAP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit parent organization that offers after-school programs to enrich the Leal Elementary School experience. We provide classes taught by Leal Elementary School staff or other district-approved instructors, and all proceeds go back to the school to support teachers, enhance arts programs, provide equipment and costumes, and help improve our students’ education.

Before You Register

  • By enrolling their child in the after-school program, parents and guardians agree to follow all protocols and guidelines established by Leal Elementary School and the ABC School District, or any other applicable directives, including, but not limited to, COVID-19 policies.
  • By enrolling their child in the after-school program, parents and guardians understand and agree that photos, videos, and audio recordings of their child may be captured and used by the program without compensation. No names will be associated with these media without explicit permission
  • Please review class details on the Registration Page for specific schedules.
  • Class offerings are subject to change without notice.
  • A minimum number of students is required for each course. If enrollment does not meet the minimum, the course may be canceled and possibly reconsidered for the next session.
  • There will be no childcare after dismissal
  • LEAP has the following policy: a late pickup fee of $1 per minute will apply after a 10-minute grace period. Families will receive an invoice for any applicable fees, and all fees must be paid before the next class. Outside organizations may have separate late fee policies.

    Skillful Writing Made Easy!

Give your child the opportunity to develop strong, confident writing skills in a supportive and engaging small-group setting.

This class is limited to just 10 students, allowing for personalized attention and targeted support. It is designed to help young writers either build foundational skills, catch up, or advance their writing abilities. For many elementary students, writing is one of the most important academic skills to strengthen. This course supports students through step-by-step, guided instruction, helping them grow from brainstorming ideas to producing polished final writing pieces they can be proud of.
