Show & Rehearsal Questions

When are rehearsals and shows?

August 24th (1:50-4:00PM): Rehearsals begin in the Leal Theatre (MPR)
Rehearsal days and times: 1:50 - 4:00PM Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (on called days only)
Parent Set Day: (parents only, mandatory) Date and Time TBD
Tech week: (full cast, all days mandatory) November 13 (1:50-end TBD), November 15 (10am-5pm), November 16-17 (4:00-8:30pm)
Performance Days: (full cast, all days mandatory) November 18 (5pm/7pm shows), November 19 (5pm/7pm shows). Call time TBD.
Performance Location: Leal Theatre (MPR)

What if we have sports, or other activities on rehearsal days?

Musical cast members may participate in other after school activities. A calendar will be provided in the contract, please list all conflicts, early outs, late arrivals on the calendar, and the director will accommodate those absences. The dates that are mandatory for ALL cast are Tech week and Performance Days.

Audition Questions

When are auditions? Do I need to register to audition?

All students must register and pay in full in order to audition for Fall Musical.
Every student who registers is guaranteed a spot in the Fall musical.
Registration fee is $425 per child. Full payment is required to audition.
Fri, August 14th: Audition materials will be released to REGISTERED CAST MEMBERS via Parent's email and Band App.
Mon, August 17th (1:50-4:00pm): All registered STUDENTS AND PARENT/GUARDIAN must report to MPR at 1:50pm for Check-in/Contract submission. Students (ONLY) will continue to Audition prep + Dance audition from 1:50-4:00pm. Parents DO NOT have to be present for Audition Prep and Dance Audition, but must return for MANDATORY Parent Meeting at Leal Quad from 3:20pm-4:00pm.
Wed, August 19th (by time slot-TBD): Voice auditions. Parents MUST BE PRESENT (outside audition room) during entire audition time slot.
Fri, August 21st (1:50-4:00pm): Call Backs (if called)
Mon, August 24th (1:50pm-4:00pm): 1st rehearsal-Full cast

Do I need to be there for the audition?

YES! A parent/adult guardian must check-in their student(s) for their auditions on August 17th and 19th.
There will be no child care available on August 19th Voice auditions.
Check-in time is 15 minutes before their time slot on August 19. Check-in area near entrance of Leal Theatre (MPR).
Parents may not leave for the duration of the audition on August 19; please stay with your child and leave when they are done.

What happens if my child is in daycare?

We do not have child supervisors on staff to direct children to/from daycare.
Parents/Guardians will be required to check-in their students for their auditions on August 17 and 19.

Can parents watch the auditions?

What should my child(ren) bring to their audition?

Please bring the executed contract. No Contract = No Audition
Fill out the Audition form (photo is optional).
Auditions will consist of singing (song provided by director) and a dance (choreography provided by director).

When will call backs and cast list be issued?

Call back emails will be sent to student's parent's email and Band App.
Only those called will be required to attend callbacks.
If your child is not called back, it does not mean your child was not cast. Please look out for final cast list.
Cast list will be issued by the director.
