Leal Dance/Drill Team

Congratulations on being selected to be part of Leal’s Dance/Drill Team!

Payment is required only for students who have been accepted onto the team. This is not an open-enrollment Fall/Spring course.

Class Information

When: Mondays
Time: 1:50–3:30 PM
Room: Theater Room P-5
Registration Fee: $250

Team members are expected to commit to the team for the full school year. This commitment allows students to build their dance skills, technique, teamwork, and confidence before moving into performance and competition routines.

About Miss Montes

Miss Montes was the director of the National Champion Dance/Drill and All Male Dance Team at Cerritos High School for eight years. She also had the opportunity to take team members to Japan to compete internationally, where they won an international title.

Miss Montes has taught an afterschool dance program with the support of LEAP for many years. In 2019, the Leal Dance/Drill Team attended its first competition at Six Flags and achieved outstanding results, including:

1st Place in their category
High Point Award for an elementary medium-size routine
Overall High Point Elementary Team

An Opportunity to Grow & Perform

Being part of the Leal Dance/Drill Team is a great opportunity for students to represent their school, learn the value of teamwork and commitment, and build confidence while performing in front of an audience.

Throughout the school year, team members may have opportunities to perform and compete at Leal and at events throughout Southern California.

We are excited to welcome our new team meCmbers and look forward to an amazing year of dance, teamwork, confidence, and school spirit!
